 <note>Most English teachers in Indonesia’s schools do not teach or practice the listening skill at a &#13;
particular time. Turns out, the listening skill is neglected in teaching, particularly due to the &#13;
limited time and the circumstances that the teachers face in the class. Moreover, listening is &#13;
the most important skill before learning the other skills. Thus, the teachers need to a proper &#13;
media to support the listening activity, especially to engage the students to understand the &#13;
listening material. Due to those reasons, the researcher conducted the qualitative research &#13;
through observation and an interview session. The English teacher at SMA Antartika Sidoarjo &#13;
is the subject in this research who has implemented an audio storyboard to support in particular &#13;
class at grade XII, namely, the LIG class (Kelas Lab Bahasa Inggris). This research aimed to &#13;
reveal the implementation of an audio storyboard in the LIG class, particularly grade XII, and &#13;
figure out the teacher’s response to how to implement an audio storyboard in the listening &#13;
activity. The findings displayed the way teachers implemented the media by following the &#13;
lesson plan. Despite some steps being conducted a little bit differently from the lesson plan, &#13;
the teacher still switched the activity, yet still based on the core of the lesson plan. According &#13;
to the English teacher, the audio storyboard usage can help the students focus on the listening &#13;
material and can engage the students to understand the story provided in the media. In &#13;
conclusion, the implementation of an audio storyboard made it easier for the teacher to teach &#13;
the listening material interactively, and the students stayed focused on the listening material &#13;
through exploring the pictures and listening to the audio.</note>
